Welcome Tariq

In April 2023, Merkelijkheid welcomed Tariq as a new colleague; he started as a junior developer. With his energy and passion for coding, he has already managed to distinguish himself in just two months. Tariq is 20 years old and lives in Almere. He quickly made his mark on the Merkelijkheid team since joining as a junior developer in April 2023. His dedication and eagerness to learn have helped him make significant progress in a short time.

One of the people who helps Tariq daily in his development as a developer is his supervisor Jens Diepenhorst. Thanks to Jens, Tariq has significantly increased his coding knowledge. He is now able to build parts of websites and make adjustments in the code, which is a huge achievement for a junior developer with only two months of experience.

Gaming and Filipino Cuisine

Besides his growth as a developer, Tariq has also greatly improved his foosball skills. He enjoys a friendly yet competitive game with his colleagues. Outside of work, Tariq likes to spend his time gaming and meeting up with friends. His girlfriend, born in the Philippines, has also introduced him to the delicious Filipino cuisine, known for its abundance of fish and vegetables. Soon, he will be going on vacation to the Philippines for the second time.

Tariq is genuinely happy at Merkelijkheid. He appreciates the varied work, the great colleagues, and the opportunity to constantly learn new things. In his own words, Tariq says: “At Merkelijkheid, I really feel at home. I am surrounded by amazing people who support and encourage me to grow. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me here.” Besides his technical skills, Tariq has also greatly improved his foosball skills. “With his enthusiasm, eagerness to learn, and talent, Tariq has already made an impression as a junior developer at Merkelijkheid. In just two months, he has learned a lot, improved his coding skills, and found his place in the team,” says Jens Diepenhorst.
