Merkelijkheid is a fast-growing – FD Gazelle for the past 4 years – agency for positioning and (online) marketing, mainly working for great B2B companies in industries such as manufacturing, IT, and business services. Success in these markets is often not measured in the short term, which is why we usually work with our clients for many years. Our oldest client has been with us since our founding (13 years ago). As partners, we continuously contribute to their success! We work from a beautiful office located exactly between Amsterdam and Haarlem, easily accessible by car or public transport. The train station is right next to our office.
Business success for a B2B company consists of many different building blocks. The most important is, of course, the website and online marketing, but tools such as events and trade magazines also play a role. We take care of all this and thus form a complete (external) marketing department for our clients. Our team therefore consists of specialists in positioning (branding), marketing strategy, SEO, online advertising, design, project management, and website development. We are often asked to build a new brand from a positioning (also after mergers or buy-and-build) or to reposition an existing brand. But we also make a difference for our clients with online marketing. We create content, develop campaigns, and (SEO) optimize websites.
This makes our work very diverse. One day we work on the content marketing strategy for a law firm, the next day it’s the new website of a high-tech manufacturer. But that doesn’t mean we reinvent the wheel every time. We have our own approach and methodology that ensures we can work quickly and purposefully. And we will teach you these so you can apply them with your own clients.

By 9 o’clock, everyone is usually in and we chat a bit about the weekend, current events, or new developments with clients. You tell about an interesting article you read on the latest B2B marketing trends. This week you have several important tasks planned, with your morning focused on the most important: a presentation of the results from the past quarter for a leading construction company. You have already discussed the setup with a partner and make sure the presentation is sent before lunch. We usually have lunch together, which is provided.
After lunch, you take a short walk outside before checking ClickUp (our project management system) for your various projects. You briefly coordinate with different colleagues about the status of certain actions. You also see some smaller tasks you can immediately tackle. Once those are checked off, it’s time for a bigger project: you build the lead generation phase of a LinkedIn campaign for a software developer. You have received images and documents from your colleagues; you write the texts and build the campaign. At the end of the day, you meet with the project manager to discuss several clients; which tasks need to be done soon and who will do them. You check your agenda for tomorrow, when you will visit a client to conduct an interview about an innovation. You will later turn that interview into an article this week.

You work closely with our partners and are challenged. Depending on your skills (experience, knowledge, and expertise), you earn €3,250 to €4,150 per month based on a 40-hour workweek. Vacation pay is added on top of that.

That is enough to take a nice step forward. If you also show commercial insight or improve our team (bringing in new people, motivating colleagues, managing), progressing to a senior position is natural. It doesn’t have to be immediately, but the opportunity is definitely there.
