CHEERS! You have something to celebrate!

Or don’t you have anything to celebrate? Doesn’t matter. Because even then, you may drink champagne.

In this new episode of ‘Don’t be a penguin’ we immerse ourselves in the world of Champagne, one of the world’s most luxurious brands. We all know Champagne as a type of alcohol, but this French drink is actually much more than that. It is an international mega brand. In this episode of ‘Don’t be a penguin’ we discuss the positioning of the Champagne brand and some major Champagne brands such as Moët & Chandon, Ruinart, Armand de Brignac and many more.

While enjoying a few glasses of Champagne that Tal brought along, we discuss together how Champagne has grown into the brand it is today, but also how players on the main stage and small French farmers work on their perceived brand identity. Did you know, for example, that more than 15,000 farmers supply grapes and juice to only a few hundred champagne houses? And that there are very strict rules attached to carrying the name ‘Champagne’? No? Neither did we. Now we do.
