At Merkelijkheid, we believe you only create truly impactful marketing when you immerse yourself in the world of your client. Understanding what drives them, what sets them apart, and where their creativity comes from. That’s why we regularly visit clients or partners we collaborate with. On Thursday, July 5th, it was the turn of a special place: Wisseloord Studios in Hilversum.
For almost five years, we have been working with Wisseloord, a place where music, education, and entrepreneurship come together. That afternoon, we were warmly welcomed by none other than Malik Berrabah, CEO of Wisseloord and the driving force behind both the studios and several Academies (including Hilversum, Paris, Milan, Stockholm).
We started the afternoon with an extensive tour. From the impressive Studio 1 to the less accessible areas like the basement – where a unique collection of vintage microphones is kept, each with its own character and tone color. A paradise for audio purists, but also a fascinating world for us non-musicians, where every detail counts.
In Studio 2, Malik then took us through an interactive session about creativity. Drawing from his background in the music world, he asked questions that made us think:
For Malik, it was a special setting: a group of professionals without a musical background. But that made it all the more valuable. The insights and conversations that arose struck the right chord. We left the studio with renewed inspiration.
We ended the day at Ristorante Primo, located in the former Wisseloord Brasserie. The restaurant is run by the Zaccariello brothers, Luca and Ennio, well-known in Hilversum. Primo combines traditional Italian recipes with a modern touch. From antipasti to tiramisù: every dish was an ode to the family kitchen. Warm, pure, and prepared with love.
Thanks to Malik Berrabah for his inspiring session, and to Luca Zaccariello for the delicious dinner.
An afternoon full of impressions, conversations, and insights – exactly how we like it at Merkelijkheid.
