Apex Dynamics

Apex Dynamics and Merkelijkheid have been collaborating for nearly a decade. During this time, Apex Dynamics has evolved from a market challenger to a market leader in the field of high-quality gearboxes, racks, and pinions. Together, we developed the positioning "runs harder" and later "move forward," along with websites that generate leads, traffic, and brand value with numerous articles and a comprehensive database of video content.

Apex & Merkelijkheid

Apex Dynamics is, for us, the prime example of successfully establishing a market position. When Apex Dynamics entered the European market, they competed in a market dominated by established names. They were the challenger, with a significant need to immediately occupy a unique position in the minds of potential customers. Together, in mid-2012, we developed the positioning “Apex Runs Faster,” based on market, brand, and communication insights. These three words formed the foundation for storytelling, campaigns, and behavior. “Running faster” referred both to their challenger behavior, characterized by an extremely high customer focus, and to the quality of their products, which could handle more revolutions per minute (RPM) than the competition. This positioning became the foundation for the company’s success.

By mid-2019, Apex Dynamics had become the market leader in the field of low-backlash gearboxes. Apex Dynamics, and especially director Thom van Oss, has always invested in innovation since its founding. Together with Merkelijkheid, partners were found, such as University Racing Eindhoven, the Human Power Team, and numerous other student teams. Innovators and adventurers, like Edwin ter Velde of Clean to Antarctica, were also involved. With a vision of innovation and a commitment to contributing not just financially but also with knowledge and components, Apex Dynamics plays a role in shaping the future. The current positioning, focused on movement (after all, that’s what gearboxes and transmissions are about) and the future, is aptly summarized as “Move Forward.”

Move Forward with Merkelijkheid

“Running faster” has been, is, and will always remain in the DNA of the organization. It is a fact that this extreme customer focus is subject to further digitalization. Over the past decade, we have had the privilege of being the marketing partner of Apex Dynamics. We developed websites, hundreds of articles and videos, and a marketing system that generates leads, all centered around their positioning.

Door continue te sparren met Merkelijkheid, waarbij ze ons regelmatig een spiegel voorhouden (soms pijnlijk hard maar altijd fair), is het mede door hun aanpak gelukt om gezamenlijk onze commerciële doelstellingen te realiseren.
