5x a good idea for B2C and B2B content marketing / social – Feb 2016

It is one of the main obstacles to the implementation of a content marketing strategy: regularly creating new and original content. Everyone has days when they just don’t have a good content idea. Sometimes you need some inspiration. Coming up with ideas is (part of) what we do, so we regularly share some good social media/content ideas for your website or channel. Share your results in the comments!

A good Online Marketing campaign relies on strong content, and we’re happy to brainstorm about it:

1. Infographic (of a (customer) process)

A good infographic is shareable, delivers its message clearly, and looks appealing. It’s the ideal content and is used with great success by, for example, the New York Times. But what can you create an infographic about? Some possibilities:

– A product and how different customers interact with it
– Explaining a process that you often receive questions about visually
– Who is your target audience? You’ll definitely get reactions here, especially if customers can recognize themselves

2. Interview a colleague for content

You know your company better than anyone else, but do your customers actually know how seriously the quality manager takes his job? Or how that new product was developed? There’s a good chance your target audience has no idea but is interested. And all you have to do is ask!

3. What if?

Look at your target audience, market, or product in a different way. Consider what factors are ‘just the way they are’ and describe what would happen if they were different. For example, we could write: “What if advertising no longer exists?”. And a food company might wonder, “What if sugar as an additive is banned?”. Which ‘fixed’ factors dominate your market now, and how would the market change ‘if’? We’re already curious! Example: What if energy was free

4. Tips & Tricks

Your product is probably used in many different ways. Share these with your target audience! Who knows, someone may have never thought of ‘the’ way that turns out to be crucial for her. A good example? SMS was invented by telecom companies to communicate network problems, and no one thought people would want to send each other messages! Don’t know how your product is actually used? Maybe you should take a look at that! Example: WD40

5. Predictions

What will your market look like in 10 years? What will have changed? Show your target audience that you are looking to the future and are working on what your customers will want then. This is also a fun way to make the new direction of your company logical.

That’s the inspiration for this time. Even if you don’t like the ideas, we’re sure you’ve been able to come up with something you do like. Mission accomplished! We’re very curious about what you do with these ideas or what they lead to. Will you share your results in the comments?
