What are dead-end links?
Dead-end links are references to pages that no longer exist. This is called a 404 error, and you will see the familiar “oops this page could not be found!” message.
A dead-end link is one of the more urgent SEO issues that you need to resolve as soon as possible. You are not the only one being directed to this page; the Google crawler also lands on this page and cannot continue crawling. A website with (many) dead-end links cannot be properly crawled and indexed by Google, which translates into a lower ranking.
